Welcome to Sorbus Food, a small, independent, family-run food business based in the beautiful market town of Ruthin, North Wales.

Our journeys into hospitality began at a young age, both influenced by our families and a shared love of cooking. Rowan began his career as a chef at just 16, initially working alongside his family in their restaurant before gaining experience further afield, including France and Australia, and catering for guests aboard luxury canal boats in France.

Imogen's journey began at just 14, washing dishes, then waiting tables before training as a chef and discovering a particular passion for desserts and patisserie, inspired by family traditions and a love of all things sweet.

For the past 20 years, we've worked side by side, creating dishes, experimenting with ingredients and developing our own distinctive flavour combinations. Along the way, we've built a wealth of experience, but our enthusiasm for creating delicious food has never changed.

Our collection of handcrafted pâtés brings together traditional favourites and more adventurous flavour combinations. From rich, savoury classics to something a little different, each recipe has been carefully developed to deliver delicious flavours.

Rowan Pie Co

Born from our love of a truly great pie! We believe a good pie should be generously filled, wrapped in golden, flavoursome pastry and made with care. Our handmade pies are all about comforting, hearty food with wonderful flavours in every bite.

Restaurant-inspired food to enjoy in the comfort of your own home. Our collection of chef-prepared ready meals makes enjoying delicious food easy, whether it's a convenient midweek supper or a relaxed evening in.

Sweet Cwtch

And let's not forget the sweet stuff! Inspired by Imogen's passion for desserts, Sweet Cwtch is our collection of handcrafted sweet treats. From creamy cheesecakes to delicious tarts, there's always room for a little something sweet.

Everything we create is prepared in-house at our own production kitchen in Ruthin, where we work alongside a small, enthusiastic team of trained chefs who share our passion for great food.

We're proud to be a small, independent business with ambitions to grow, but we'll always remain true to the values that brought us here: carefully selected ingredients, thoughtful cooking, creativity and, above all, wonderful flavour.
